Our 11th SuriCon: Community, Collaboration, and the Future of Suricata
SuriCon 2025 brought together over 155 attendees, including many who joined from around the world via our online community, for three incredible days in Montréal. Despite some cold weather outside (including some snow) the trainings, conference room, and hallway were packed with energy: familiar faces reconnecting, new friends discovering SuriCon and this amazing community for the first time, and curiosity driving deep technical conversations everywhere you turned.

Our Sponsors & Community Champions
SuriCon would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors – industry leaders who choose to invest in open-source innovation and the strength of the Suricata community. Your trust fuels our ability to push the technology further, support a global user base, and sustain the future of Suricata.
A heartfelt thank you for believing in this community and in the future of Suricata.
“I love being able to learn from such super smart people.”
Investing in the Future: OISF’s Partner Program + Suricata 9.0
At SuriCon, we introduced the pilot phase of the new OISF Partner Program, a more intentional pathway for organizations who rely on Suricata to collaborate with us on its future. Over the coming months, we’ll be co-designing this program with early adopters to strengthen sustainability, accelerate innovation, and expand support for the global Suricata community. For more information reach out to us at partners@oisf.net.
Looking ahead, the OISF development team is already deep into the roadmap for Suricata 9.0, and the community played a vital role in shaping priorities during our live brainstorming session. Your insight matters — and we are grateful for every idea shared.
“SuriCon has given me a deeper understanding of Suricata internals — I am no longer scared about tweaking suricata.yaml!”
Let’s go build this together! More performance. More efficiency. More capability for the networks that depend on us.
From hardware acceleration to enhanced detection and rule engine power, Suricata 9.0 is being built with the community — for the community.
“The Suricata spirit and community make SuriCon such a welcoming place… it’s encouraging and heartwarming.”
